CHINAMEX Holdings(Netherlands) received China environment delegation in Netherlands
Ever since the launch of the reform and opening-up policy 30 years ago, China has been proactively finding her way of enrivonmental protection with Chinese charateristics. Significant achievements have been witnessed in virtue of the joint efforts contributed by the people from all walks of life and the whole society. In her development process, Chinamex has always put corporate social responsibilities as one of the key company strategies, wherein evironmental protection has been a major concern, as well as the focus of work. With the assistance and organization by Chinamex Holdings (Netherlands), representatives from the evironmental department of a notable Chinese company made a 3-day business trip to the Netherlands. The delegates visited a distinctive sewage treatment plant, after which they learned about the technical features of the in-site treatment of urban sewage and sludge in the Netherlands, planning of the plant, and also the utilization of the residuals. Soon after was the site visit to ECN (the Netherlands Energy Research Center), where they were taken around the laboratory facilities. During the meeting between the Chinese and ECN technicians, some thoughts regarding the efficient application of biomass, the advantages and latest developments of the tarrification and gasification technologies were exchanged. Chinese delegates expressed great interest in ECN¡¯s advanced technologies, and required further research to be followed up after their return to China, so that discussions on possible cooperation in terms of gasification, optimization of energy efficiency, as well as investment opportunities can be formally started. Fruitful results have been achieved despite the short visit. The Chinese representatives, who were deeply impressed by the extensive local network and rich resources of Chinamex, showed their gratitude for her warm and strong support and assistance. The important role that Chinamex plays in Sino-Dutch businesses and trade promotion, technical exchange and cooperation is therefore highly recognised and appreciated.
